I am a Homeopath. I am a supervisor and I teach Voice Dialogue.
In my career I have been lucky.
As part of my Zoology degree at UCL, I studied Physiology under Professor Wall who taught his ‘Gate Theory of Pain’. This was a fresh approach to pain management and led me to a fascination with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine
After university I worked in Stroke Research at Charing Cross Hospital and studied Acupuncture at the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Leamington Spa.That took me to working with Dr Sharma an MD and a homeopath. At that time he was -‘Doctor to the Stars’. So during the week I worked in his London Clinic and at weekends at his private Hospital in Ludshott. He was also teaching me Homeopathy and I was soon studying (again) at the College of Homeopathy, which was one of the UK’s first teaching Colleges. Then after graduating in my Homeopathic studies I took post-graduate trainings with George Vithoulkas and Dr Vassilis Ghegas for another 12 years.
Since 1984 my work has been concentrated on Homeopathy in three different areas:
- Firstly, my private practice as a Homeopath and Acupuncturist.
- Secondly, lecturing in homeopathy, mainly at the London College of Classical Homeopathy and University of Westminster.
- From 1997-2000 I lectured on working with infant and children at a homeopathic course in Oxford. And there I lectured to vets and doctors. I have also taught continuing professional development courses to students over the years as well as offering students personal supervision.
- And number three, I worked in the NHS as a Homeopath in Primary Care at Marylebone Health Centre. For many years I was part of a team with Professor Patrick Pietroni, Dr.David Peters and Dr Sue Morrison, researching the effectiveness of homeopathy and other complementary medicines within the NHS. This was a pioneering practice with research funding to discover ways to offer a holistic approach to health care.
Since 1981 I have also studied Voice Dialogue and the Psychology of the Selves with Drs Hal and Sidra Stone. This work informs my practice and I use my knowledge to help when there are relational difficulties in families.
I look forward to meeting you.
